Work with Us
When the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped so many aspects of daily life, it also brought unexpected changes to the arts and crafts that depend on physical space. For Amadeus Piano Co., L.L.C., the sale of the 8,000-square-foot commercial workshop we had long leased meant a sudden displacement — not only of our work, but of dozens of acoustic pianos entrusted to our care.
Since then, these instruments have been safely stored, but storage alone is not their purpose.
Each piano represents craftsmanship, history, and the potential for music to enter a home, a school, or a community space. Our long-term goal has never been merely to house these instruments, but to restore, stage, and thoughtfully place them into environments where they will once again be played and valued.

A New Chapter: Community-Centered Stewardship
We are now seeking to partner with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, municipalities, or arts groups that share a commitment to music, preservation, and public benefit.
Our vision is to establish a collaborative piano stewardship initiative that:
Preserves and restores quality acoustic pianos
Creates access to instruments for students, families, and community spaces
Activates underutilized space as a cultural and educational asset
Provides a thoughtful pathway for pianos to find new, lasting homes
Rather than viewing pianos as surplus objects or storage challenges, we see them as cultural infrastructure — tools for learning, expression, and connection.
What Partnership Could Look Like
A partnership might include:
Use of secure, climate-appropriate space at little or no cost
Opportunities for educational demonstrations, student access, or small community events
Collaborative programming around music education or preservation
Shared storytelling around rescued and restored instruments
In return, Amadeus Piano Co. brings professional expertise in evaluation, tuning, restoration, and placement, along with decades of experience caring for fine acoustic pianos.
Why This Matters Now
Across the country, acoustic pianos are being discarded not because they lack value, but because they lack advocates and space. At the same time, many organizations hold underutilized rooms, halls, or buildings that could be transformed into meaningful cultural resources.
We believe there is an opportunity — right now — to connect these needs.
This initiative is about stewardship, access, and preservation, not commercial sales. It is about ensuring that worthy instruments continue to serve musicians and communities rather than fading into silence.
An Invitation
If you represent — or know of — an organization interested in exploring a partnership, we would welcome the conversation. This is an early, exploratory phase, and we are open to creative, mutually beneficial structures.
Together, we can ensure that these instruments continue to fulfill their purpose: making music, educating hands and ears, and enriching the cultural life of our community.
